The idea for my concentration hit me over the summer when I began to work on my second H.W. assignment. I've always had a love for music because I listen to music everyday and I play guitar. So, I thought why not incorporate music into my art work. In my first piece I drew myself laying down and wrapped music staffs around my legs and arms. I decided to use music staffs in every piece of my art work to show how music is in my life everyday and how important it is to me.
The reoccurring theme in my work is music. It is important to me because music has such an impact on my life and helps me get though times and I get inspired while listening to the thoughts and sounds of others work. I plan to use music notes in all of my 12 concentration pieces. Currently, I am drawing my shoes and the laces of the shoes are the music notes. Art work that I plan to create in the future is... Another piece using a figure, showing a musical theme in some of my favorite places and using different objects in life to show a musical theme.
