This is one exercise in class that I chose to re-work. I think all of the colors and detail give it more movement and some rhythm instead of the first piece that was kind of dull. The re-work is definitely eye catching and I feel that the emphasis is where the three eyes are close together in the upper left side.
Huge fan of this, I would love to see it in person. The mark making is so rich and active and I can begin to see implied spaces in the background. Fantastic. Consider reworking that hand and possibly continuing to develop the negative spaces in the back left. This is an exciting piece. Well Done!
ReplyDeletethis is awesome! and it reminds me of another piece on your blog that shows a girl sitting on a chair and is also an interesting shape and includes a lot of color. there's sooo much intensity and movement in this. you could maybe even make some of the colored-pencil areas bolder so everything pops a bit more. i love this!!
